Aims:

The aim of the postgraduate program “Pediatric Infectious Diseases” is the provision of high-quality postgraduate education in the field of Pediatric Infectious Diseases. The program aims at sharing specialized knowledge and developing skills and leads to obtaining a Master of Science diploma in Pediatric Infectious Diseases, following successful completion of the course as described in the syllabus.

Who is this course for?

The course is designed exclusively for Medical Doctors, who are interested in acquiring specialized knowledge in Pediatric Infectious Diseases, Immunology, the prevention and management of infectious diseases in immunocompromised hosts and other vulnerable groups, the prevention of infectious diseases through vaccination and evidence-based use of antimicrobial agents. Our students also acquire knowledge in Epidemiology, Biostatistics, and the principles of Public Health.

Tutorship:

Our instructors are renowned professors, scientists from Greece and abroad with expertise in the subject, as well as professionals from institutions with longstanding experience in the field. The classes take place in the NKUA Medical School campus.  Apart from lectures, students participate in annual conferences / seminars with relevant topics and field introduction.
